DDA Approved Water Safety Camp for Kids with Special Needs

The City of Mercer Island has partnered with Nurturing Water Therapies to create a unique summer camp for kids with special needs who love being around the water.

The focus is on water safety including canoeing and boat safetyswimming lessons and water safety techniques. Campers will also have fun building water safety flotation devices, sand castles, play water games and more.

(Siblings and friends are welcome to sign up!)

Dates: August 7 - 11, 2017 (Course #17531) / August 14-18, 2017 (Course #17532)

Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Location: Luther Burbank Beach, 2040 84th Ave SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040 (map)

Age: 8 years and older

Cost: $395 ($365 for current Nurturing Water Therapy clients)
DDA clients can collect the cost of the camp through their individual DDA case managers.

What to bring: swimsuit, lunch, sunscreen and towel. We will have more specific items focused on the activities for each day. Snacks will be provided.

Please note: 1:1 aide is required if the camper is not toilet trained or needs constant 1:1 supervision or support.
